Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of SYNKO (the "Service"), operated by an individual developer ("we," "us"). By creating an account, signing in as a Guest, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you may only use SYNKO with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. SYNKO is not directed to children under 13.

2. Your account

You're responsible for activity on your account, including any chat messages, friend interactions, and game results recorded under it.
Keep your sign-in credentials confidential. Don't share your Google account or let others play under your identity.
You may close your account at any time using Profile → Account Settings → Delete Account. Deletion is permanent.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use SYNKO to:

Harass, threaten, impersonate, or abuse other players, including in chat or via display-name choices.
Post chat content that's hateful, sexually explicit, encourages self-harm, or contains slurs targeting any group.
Cheat, exploit bugs to inflate your scores or stats, or use automated tools to play on your behalf.
Scrape, copy, or redistribute the Service's content, code, or other users' data.
Attempt to disrupt the Service, probe for vulnerabilities you don't have permission to test, or interfere with other players' use of it.
Violate any applicable law in connection with your use of the Service.

We may remove content, suspend accounts, or terminate access at our discretion for violations of these rules. Egregious violations — especially those involving harassment, threats, or sexualized content directed at minors — may also be reported to platform providers (Apple, Google) and, where appropriate, law enforcement.

4. Chat and user-generated content

You retain ownership of the text you send in chat. By sending it, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, transmit, and display that text within the Service so the other player in your game can read it.
We operate an automated profanity filter on chat messages and provide in-app tools to report or block other players. We may remove, edit, or hide chat content that violates these Terms.
You are solely responsible for the content you send. Don't post anything you wouldn't want preserved and read by the other player and by us.

5. Service availability

The Service is provided on a best-effort basis. We may add, change, or remove features at any time without notice. We may also temporarily suspend or permanently shut down the Service. We'll try to give reasonable notice of permanent shutdowns through the in-app interface where practical.

6. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is limited to one hundred US dollars ($100) or the amount you've paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim — whichever is greater.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, and reasonable expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or rights of a third party.

9. Termination

You may terminate your use of the Service at any time by deleting your account in-app. We may terminate or suspend your access at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including suspected violations of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 6, 7, 8, and 10) will continue to apply.

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to the Service or these Terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. If you live somewhere that grants you mandatory rights to bring claims locally, nothing in this section overrides those rights.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. If we make material changes, we'll surface a notice inside the app before the changes take effect. Continuing to use the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
